Lorenza Borrani violin Leader of The Chamber Orchestra of Europe (Abbado, Harnoncourt, Haitink) since 2008 and founder member of Spira mirabilis the florentinian Lorenza Borrani performs as leader, director, soloist and chamber musician in the most important halls and concert seasons all around Europe and the World. Berlin Philarmonie, Edinburgh Festival, Köln Philarmonie, Paris Citè de la Musique,Aldeburgh Festival, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Sydney Opera House are a few examples of venues that hosted her as soloist and director in the last seasons in collaboration with the Chamber orchetsra of Europe and ensembles like Freiburger Barockorchester, Australian chamber orchestra, European Union Youth orchestra, the Norwegean Chamber Orchestra, Philharmonie du Radio France. In 2003 she had become Konzertmeister of the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini conducted by Maazel while between 2005 and 2008 she has been playing in Orchestra Mozart. With Claudio Abbado as conductor, in november 2006, she performed the rarely played Concert n.7 by W.A.Mozart in Teatro Comunale di Ferrara. As a soloist she has collaborated with conductors like Yuri Harohnovich, Gyorgy Gyorivany Rath, Emmanuel Krevine, Claudio Abbado, Trevor Pinnock, Yannik Nezet Seguin, Bernard Haitink, and took part to many chamber music festivals performing with artists like Isabel Faust, Helene Grimaud, Antoine Tamestit, Daniel Hope, Andras Schiff, Pierre Laurent Aimard, Irina Schnittke, Tabea Zimmermann, Christan Tetzlaff, Alexander Lonquich, L. Zilberstein, Pavel Gililov, Janine Jansen. Lorenza Borrani teaches violin and chamber music in Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, the school where she has studied with Alina Company, Piero Farulli, Zinaida Gilels and Pavel Vernikov .After her diplom, in 2000 and after the Scientific Highschool diplom, She has attended a Post Graduated course at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst di Graz with Boris Kushnir and several masterclasses with S.
