The new third-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS range was crowned by the CLS 53 early last year, with the same twin-turbo 3.0-litre also heading for the CLS’s executive- sized E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet models at the same time. Despite the smaller size of engine, the six-cylinder unit still makes the right amount of burbling noise, and also features the EQ mild hybrid electric assistance. WHY CAN’T I HAVE IT? The CLS is over £10,000 more expensive than the E-Class saloon with the same engine. The AMG model also holds a lower percentage of its value than the more regular CLS models.
