Valutazione Pastorale: I nove ritratti scritti e messi in immagini da Rodrigo Garcia (figlio di Gabriel Garcia Marquez) hanno lóbiettivo di focalizzare alcune situazioni di difficoltà che il mondo femminile si trova oggi ad affrontare e sopportare. Va detto che la qualità dei nove capitoletti é abbastanza diseguale: il più compatto é forse quello dedicato a Camille in ospedale; gli altri ondeggiano nella esposizione di problemi vari e certo tutti realistici (il carcere, la maternità, il matrimonio, léquilibrio tra privato e pubblico...) ma non sempre ben centrati. Il tratto unificante é quello di una visione pessimistica della vita e del mondo, tra infelicità, tristezza, rassegnazione. Uno sguardo amaro sullésistenza, insistito e leggermente compiaciuto, ossia letterario. Il cimitero dellúltimo episodio appare come lúnico rifugio possibile, un luogo dove bisogna rispettare il silenzio e quindi si può fare a meno delle parole. Stretto in una maliconica disperazione, il film, dal punto di vista pastorale, é da valutare come discutibile e caratterizzato da molta ambiguità. Utilizzazione: il film é da utilizzare in programmazione ordinaria con attenzione per la presenza dei minori. Stessa cura é da tenere per i più piccoli in previsione di passaggi televisivi o di uso di VHS e DVD. .

Habib's films have been featured in dozens of film festivals, broadcast internationally, nominated for Emmy awards, and translated into 17 languages for worldwide distribution. Habib is a filmmaker at the University of New Hampshire’s Institute on Disability and gave a widely viewed TEDx talk, “Disabling Segregation.” He received the Champion of Human and Civil Rights Award from the National Education Association, and the Justice for All Grassroots Award from the American Association of People with Disabilities. In 2014, Habib was appointed by President Barack Obama to the President’s Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities.
