THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (CANTERBURY RURAL PARISHES) (TRAFFIC REGULATION AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT No 3) ORDER 2002 Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL propose to make the above named Order, under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act: The effect of the Order will be to introduce changes to waiting restrictions, parking places and formalise disabled drivers parking bays on the following roads or lengths of roads: - - SWEECHGATE - BROAD OAK CHURCH ROAD - LITTLEBOURNE STATION ROAD - CHARTHAM -- CHAFY CRESCENT - STURRY THE GREEN - CHARTHAM MILL ROAD - STURRY -:- FAULKNERS LANE - HARBLEDOWN --ASHENDEN CLOSE - THANINGTON - FORDWICH ROAD - FORDWICH WITHOUT MARLOW MEADOWS - FORDWICH --- STRANGERS CLOSE - THANINGTON THE MALTINGS - LITTLEBOURNE WITHOUT JUBILEE ROAD - LITTLEBOURNE STRANGERS LANE - THANINGTON HIGH STREET - LITTLEBOURNE WITHOUT Full details are contained in the draft Order which together with the relevant plans, any Orders, amended by the proposals and a statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined on Mondays to Fridays at the Council Offices, Military Road, Canterbury Between 8.30am and 5pm and in Sturry Library during normal opening hours. In the Parish of Sturry Broad Oak SWEECHGATE The existing item to be deleted in the First Schedule and replaced with the following SWEECHGATE On both sides between points 10m west and 10 metres east ofthejunction with Bametts Lane. Sturry CHAFY CRESCENT The existing item in the Second Schedule to be deleted and replaced with the following CHAFY CRESCENT On the eastern side in a single line against the kerb between points the following distances from the northernjunction of Chafy Crescent with the High Street. (a) 24 metres and 33 metres; (b) 42 metres and 51 metres; (c) 59 metres and 64 metres (d) 69 metres and 92 metres. MILL ROAD The following item to be deleted in the First Schedule and replaced with the following MILL ROAD (1) On both sides from thejunction with Island Road (A 28) for a distance of33 metres in a south-easterly direction. (2) On the eastern and south-eastern side from a point 34 metres north east of the junction with Fordwich Road to a point 1 metres south west of the north eastern boundary ofNo 32 Mill Road (A28). (3) On the western side fora distance of20 metres south ofthejunction with High Street. (4) On the north western side from a point in line with the common boundary ofNos 20 and31 Mill Road to the western building line of No 7Mill Road. HIGH STREET The existing item to be deleted in the First Schedule and replaced with the following HIGH STREET On the north-eastern side (a) from a point 29 metres north-west to a point 49 metres south-east of the centre of thejunction with Nargate Street. (b) between points 10 metres north-west and 10 metres south-east of the junction with Jubilee Road. JUBILEE ROAD The following item to be inserted in the First Schedule in the correct alphabetical sequence.
