Mitty is almost like a dating service in itself. The teachers here share certain key values and are passionate about educating young people, so it makes sense that Mitty faculty members are compatible on deep and fundamental levels. Many become close friends and for some, these friendships develop into com- mitted relationships. Meet Mr. and Mrs. Scott. These two met when they worked at St. Ignatius in San Francisco and mar- ried before they made the move to Mitty. Mr. Scott is the director of Campus Ministry and Mrs. Scott is a freshman religion teacher. “It’s a wonderful way to meet someone,” said Mr. Scott. Meet Mr. and Mrs. Wesmiller. The “Rome” is Rome Ramirez, a singer/guitarist with whom the band first played some gigs with in 2009 as Sublime. They became Sublime with Rome a year later and launched a cross-country tour of America. In 2011, Fueled By Raman released the group's first album, Yours Truly with guitarist Paul Leery of the Butthole Surfers who also produced Sublime’s third and final album. They brought Sublime’s material back on Tour in 2010 to the delight of fans across the nation who were eager to once again hear the bands’ repertoire live on stage. The new album yielded the hit singles “Panic” (which climbed to No. 4 on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart), “Lovers Rock” and “Take It or Leave It”. Yours Truly garnered new fans eager to grab Sublime with Rome concert tickets in order to experience the new material, as well as to witness them perform the classic Sublime tunes that made the band one of the most successful and influential alternative music acts in history.

    ------------------------- Feature • Badfish ----------------------- Keeping the Vibe Alive By Ryan Smith How many tribute bands re- ceive the opportunity to warm up for – or even tour with some of their heroes? The answer may be “not many,” but Badfish, a Rhode Island-based tribute to the So- Cal ska-punk 90s heroes Sublime have done exactly that. The band formed in 2001 at the University of Rhode Island where drummer Scott Begin and bass player Joel Hanks decided to form a band that would pay tribute to some of their heroes while differentiating themselves from other bands in the area at the time. “[Sublime] was just one of those bands that we all really liked a lot, and people in college that we were with and we knew growing up even before then, everyone really liked them,” says Begin. “It spanned differ- ent genres, and we really enjoyed their music, and there really were not any bands around [us] doing that type of thing.
