MINNESOTA WILD SIGNS FORWARD RYAN HARTMAN TO THREE-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the (NHL) club has signed forward Ryan Hartman to a three-year, $5.1 million contract extension ($1.7 million AAV).

Hartman, 26 (9/20/94), owns 18 points (6-12=18), 25 minutes (PIM), two game-winning goals (GWG), three power- play assists (PPA), one shorthanded (SHG), 40 hits and 31 blocked shots in 40 games with Minnesota this season. The 6- foot, 192-pound forward has career highs in PPA and power-play points. He registered a season-high three points (1-2=3) on April 5 vs. Colorado, his third career three- plus game. The native of Hilton Head Island, S.C., recorded a career-high four-game point streak (2-4=6) from Feb. 18-24 and a career-high three-game assist streak (1-4=5) from Feb. 20-24. The right- shot skater netted his first career SHG on Jan. 20 at Anaheim and his first career shorthanded assist on Feb. 24 vs. the Avalanche. He leads the Wild in shorthanded points this season.

Hartman owns 127 points (57-70=127), a plus-16 rating, 312 PIM, seven PPP (3-4=7), 441 hits and 197 blocked shots in 354 career NHL games in seven seasons (2014-21) with Minnesota, Chicago, Nashville and Philadelphia. He has also collected three points (1-2=3) in 17 career Stanley Cup Playoff contests.

He was selected by the in the first round (30th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and signed as a free agent with Minnesota on July 1, 2019.
