    In this corner back in 1958 the first seeds were sown for the Armada Hotel, when a small roadside shebeen first opened its doors under the watch of Johnny Burke. This corner of the house has welcomed visitors from our community and all corners of the earth. Over its many years trading, it has heard sing songs, seisiúns, story telling, witnessed love at first sight, sad farewells, tears of joy, and a dispute or two along the way! The Armada has changed shape and direction many times between then and now.
