They met here as sophomores, became engaged as E juniors, and were married in Hendricks Chapel the day before their 1954 graduation. A full-page picture in the '54 Onondagan captured their romance for all time. But 40 years later, Harvey and Carol Zeiger Raff of Roslyn, New York, felt reluctant to return. They'd attended their 15th reunion but hadn't enjoyed it very much. "Still," they said to each other last year, "40 years. We've been through a lot and managed to survive A it all. Let's give it a try." So in 1994 they came back. This time they saw many old friends and laughed together as easily as they had in the past. They eagerly explored the new shape of campus and revisited old landmarks like the Kissing Bench beside the Hall of Languages.
