Mr. Michael Rodyniuk President & CEO Wasaya Group Inc.

Over the past three years, Michael Rodyniuk has held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Wasaya Group Inc. a company made up of three primary businesses, LP, Wasaya Leasing LP and Wasaya Petroleum LP serving First Nation communities in Northwestern . Over this period, Wasaya restructured its operations, eliminated its crippling debt and was recapitalized through a debt and equity transaction.

A seasoned aviation executive with 30 years of management experience spanning the globe, Michael’s leadership experience includes serving legacy (, American Airlines, Swissair, United Airlines), low cost (WestJet, Air Canada’s ), regional airlines (Exchange Income Corporation’s , , Custom Helicopter, , ), Hawaii Island Air and Wasaya Airways. Michael also contributed to start-up airlines (Volaris, LAN Argentina). He has experience in aviation finance and leasing through his participation with Willis Lease Finance Corporation.

From 2005-10 Michael worked with the Airports Authority as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing operations and leading his team to redevelop the airport campus. In 2010-2012, Michael served as Chief Operating Officer for EIC's aviation group of companies where he led business in Canada's North serving First Nation and Inuit Communities. In 2012, as Executive Vice Chairman, he led the Hawaii Island Air team, restructuring the ’s operations and debt, then selling the company to Oracle founder Larry Ellison. In 2014 he led negotiations for a successful joint venture between Willis Lease Finance Corporation (WLFC) and the Chinese Central Government agency, China Aviation Supply Corporation (CASC). Further in 2013 and 2014 he oversaw the acquisition of certain assets of JT Power by WLFC to create Willis Aeronautical Services Inc. Early in 2015, Michael led the WLFC team toward the goal of leasing aging ATR assets, successfully placing them with a Canadian air carrier. Most recently, Michael led his team in recapitalizing the company through a $25 million debt and equity transaction with Exchange Income Corporation.

Michael serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of West Canitest R&D Inc. (WestCaRD), an initiative of the General Electric Company, the Government of Canada and Standard Aero focused on research and development of aviation turbine engines. In 1989 Michael graduated from Mount Royal College (now University) in Calgary, holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of and is accredited by two United Nations agencies; Airports Council International (ACI) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), as an International Airport Professional; IAP. In June 2018 Michael will graduate from the Institute of Corporate Directors with the Institute’s designation; ICD.D.
