JOANIE GREGORY-PULLEN (Vocal Director) brings a well-rounded variety of experi- ence to our musical team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal music education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Mrs. Pullen serves as the longtime program manager for Canterbury Voices, where her duties include serving as the administrator of Canterbury Youth Voices (CYV) and Camp Canterbury. Even amid the pandemic, Canterbury has implemented multiple protocols to keep singing! CYV choirs perform regularly throughout our community including master- works with Canterbury Voices at the Civic Center, Thunder, Dodgers and Energy games and Saturdays with Santa. Two highlights are CYV’s national television performances; one for the Musselman’s Applesauce Family Skating Tribute with Olympic ice skater Scott on ABC tv and singing the National Anthem for Ice Cube’s Big 3 Basketball Tournament on Fox Sports. Currently, Mrs. Pullen is preparing to travel to Normandy, France with the CYV choirs to sing for the D-Day commemoration ceremony in June of 2021. She’d love to tell you how your singer could join us! Pullen taught private voice for 25 years (including Mrs. Mann!) and she is also quite theatrically accomplished both as a performer and director. Her favorite projects have been directing the national dvd premiere of four children’s musicals for the Dove award win- ning composer, Dave Clark, produced by Brentwood Benson and Lillenas Music Publishers in Nashville. She continues to sing as a soloist and with the choir at Quail Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Pullen is most proud of her family - her husband of nearly 33 years, John, their daughter, Jill and her husband, Colton and their younger daughter, Jennifer.
