It marks the seventh straight season that at least a pair of players with CCHA ties have been taken in the fi rst round and gives the conference 16 fi rst-round selections during that period. Notre Dame incoming defenseman Ian Cole of USA Hockey’s NTDP Under-18 Team in Ann Arbor, Mich., became the fi rst player with CCHA ties taken when St. Louis selected him 18th overall. Incoming Michigan freshman forward Max Pacioretty, the USHL Rookie of the Year with Sioux City, went four picks later, 22nd overall, to Montreal. Recruits for the same two teams were nabbed in the second round with Michigan-bound forward Aaron Palushaj taken by St. Louis and Notre Dame defenseman-to-be Ted Ruth becoming property of Washington. Ryan Thang, a 2006 CCHA All-Rookie Team performer for Notre Dame, was selected in the third round, 81st overall, by Nashville with incoming Bowling Green goalie Josh Unice taken by Chicago with the 89th pick and Buffalo selecting forward Corey Tropp, who is headed to national champion Michigan State, with the 89th pick and Buffalo getting Michigan recruit Louie Caporusso one slot later. -

Introduction This brief analyzes the statistics, attributes, comparable player salaries, and other factors of Sam Gagner ("Mr. Gagner"), center forward for the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club (the "Club" or the "Oilers"), that are relevant to the estimation of appropriate salary compensation for the 2012-2013 season. The National Hockey League Collective Bargaining Agreement ("CBA"), Article 12.9(g) sets the criteria for evidence that may be considered in this arbitration:1 12.9 (g)(ii) The parties may offer evidence of the following: A) the overall performance, including official statistics prepared by the League, of the Player in the previous season or seasons; B) the number of games played by the Player, his injuries or illnesses during the preceding seasons; C) the length of service of the Player in the League and/or with the Club; D) the overall contribution of the Player to the competitive success or failure of his Club in the preceding season; E) any special qualities of leadership or public appeal not inconsistent with the fulfillment of his responsibilities as a playing member of his team; F) the overall performance in the previous season or seasons of any Player(s) who is alleged to be comparable to the party Player whose salary is in dispute. G) The compensation of any Player(s) who is alleged to be comparable to the party Player, provided, however, that in applying this or any of the above subparagraphs, the Salary Arbitrator shall not consider a Player(s) to be comparable to the party Player unless a party to the arbitration has contended that the Player(s) is comparable; nor shall the Salary Arbitrator consider the compensation or performance of a Player(s) unless a party to the arbitration has contended that the Player(s) is comparable. -

The 58th draft in league history will feature seven rounds. Players that were born between Jan. 1, 2000 and Sept. 15, 2002 are eligible for selection in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. • The University of Minnesota has produced 216 total NHL draft picks including 21 first round picks. • Ryan Johnson became the 21st Gopher Hockey prospect to be selected in the first round when the Buffalo Sabres selected him with the 31st pick in 2019.
