Unit 1A: Laws of Exponents

Unit 1a: Laws of Exponents I CAN: simplify expressions containing integer exponents use the properties of exponents to simplify an expression simplify powers that have zero and negative exponents use the properties of exponents to justify each step in simplifying an expression

WHY?: We can use exponents to determine how many great-great-great-grandparents you have.

Complete the “Learn It” section for each lesson. This includes watching and taking notes from Khan, McCubbin, or other videos, as well as notes from teacher-led instruction. The “Practice It” section for each lesson will include exercises from the Khan Academy website, online/in-class games, math stations, and/or worksheets. The “Prove It” section will include reviews, assessments, and/or projects to show your understanding of all lessons covered up until that point.
