PARKING POLICY Doyle Administration Building

GENERAL POLICY

Parking at the Doyle Administration Building is available for:

 District employees working full-time at the Doyle Administration Building.  Other eligible District employees and/or Administrators (with a valid Permit/Tag) and;  Registered Visitors to the Doyle Administration building.

Permission to park will be acknowledged by the issuance of a Doyle Administration Building hang tag or Temporary Visitor Parking Permit ONLY.

Possession of a hang tag or Temporary Visitor Parking Permit does not guarantee a parking space nor provide exemption from any parking regulations listed below.

Parking in the Doyle lot is subject this Policy as well as other general regulations posted at each entrance. Vehicles which fail to comply with any of the regulations listed below may be ticketed by the Madison Police Department. Warning tickets will not be issued.

PARKING REGULATIONS

1. Parking at the Doyle Administration Building will be regulated weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. throughout the calendar year. The lot will be considered “open” after 3:30 p.m. each day except for the reserved spaces marked with yellow posts. Parking after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends is further restricted by Kohl Center events.

2. All permit holders must ONLY park in stalls with blue painted lines.

3. Permit holders may not park in restricted areas including:

 Reserved spaces marked with yellow posts (or behind them)  Spaces designated for use by Building Services or Contractors  The drive through lane designated as a Fire Lane  Visitor parking spaces in the Frances Street Circle.

4. Disabled parking stalls have been created in accordance with guidelines established by the City of Madison. Use of these stalls is monitored by the City of Madison Parking Enforcement and cars parked in these stalls must meet their regulations. PARKING POLICY Doyle Administration Building

5. Each eligible employee at the Doyle Administration Building will be issued ONE hang tag. Each hang tag is numbered and will identify the holder by name, license plate number and department as an administrative record. The hang tag may be transferred to another employee vehicle as/if necessary. Only one employee vehicle per day is allowed on the lot, however. If you forget your hang tag, you must obtain a Temporary Visitor Parking Permit for parking in the lot.

6. New hang tags must be requested and will be issued each school year. Old hang tags are not valid. Hang tags must be requested online at the MMSD Staff Only website. https://webapp1.madison.k12.wi.us/webapp1/parking/

7. Visitors will be allowed to park in the lot by use of a Temporary Visitor Parking Permit. Temporary Visitor Permits must include user’s name, room number and contact phone number while in the building. Temporary Visitor Permits may be obtained from any of the designated offices and should be placed on the dash on the driver’s side. Extended Temporary Permits valid for up to ONE WEEK may also be obtained.

8. Any visitor who will be parking in the Doyle Administration Building parking lot on a regular basis over a period of time to surpass one month should contact Human Resources or Public Information directly about receiving a special visitor’s parking permit.

9. Parking Cars into stalls: If it is necessary to park in such a way that you are blocking other vehicles, you must immediately notify those individuals that you have parked them in. “Double” parking is allowed on the west side of each isle only (the Kohl center side). Never leave the building while you have someone parked in.

Anyone violating any of these regulations may forfeit their parking hang tag and privileges and/or receive a parking violation ticket from the Madison Police Department.
