BUKS TOOL COMPANY, INC. EXPANSION WILL CREATE NEW JOBS, CONTRIBUTING TO INDUSTRY GROWTH

Houston-based machine shop and manufacturer Buks Tool Company, Inc. (BTCI) announced the grand opening of a new location in Northwest Crossing Business Park. The new BTCI location opened in Northwest Houston on March 24th but will celebrate its official grand opening on May 2nd 2014, according to BTCI President Danielle Buks.

The $5 million state-of-the-art facility is located at 6410-X Langfield Road in Northwest Houston between I-610 and the Sam Houston Parkway along Highway 290. The new 52,000 square-foot facility sits on 5 acres of land, which will allow further expansion of an additional 50,000 square feet. New additions to the machine shop will feature overhead cranes, proper foundations to ensure higher accuracy and efficiency of equipment, an isolated CMM room with the accompanying new machine and expanded parking. The additional space also will allow for additional machinery such as CNC VTL’s which will enhance current capabilities allowing further capacities to be reached. This will enable Buks to become a one stop shop, unseen in the Houston job shop environment.

“Buks Tool is a rising company with a long history in Houston and we look forward to continuing to expand here. We look forward to a continued partnership with our clients and serving them from our new location. Our expansion will allow us to offer new services, while continuing to provide the highest quality. We are very excited about this wonderful growth opportunity,” said Buks.

The machine shop’s new facility will create 30-40 additional jobs and will retain all 22 current positions. With the facility expansion, BTCI will also offer expanded in-house services, such as a boroscope at 10x magnification and CMM inspection. The BTCI website will be launching concurrently and will allow job applicants to apply directly online. While the current BTCI facility is ISO-compliant, the new facility is expected to receive ISO-certification. The machine shop will continue to operate daily from 6:00 AM- 6:00PM. Office hours are from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

“Growing the company in Houston will create jobs and stimulate economic growth opportunity for the local community” said Buks. “We are a company that understands and appreciates both the quality of life and workforce in Houston, and we would like to thank city and state officials for working with us to expedite the building and expansion of our new headquarters.”
