Dear «Contact»,

Hello my name is Heather - and I have multiple sclerosis. MS really messed up a couple of years of my life. The nerves that control the movement of my left eye were severely affected and as a result I had horrible double vision - not to mention that I was self-conscious about how I looked, after all I was only 14 years old. I was a pretty good volleyball player, but now when the ball came at me, I had to differentiate the real one from the ghost. I didn't always pick correctly. When I started to learn how to drive, my dad was extremely calm as I ran into curbs and misjudged distances wildly. For the first year, my MS was gaining steam and taking the upper hand. However, because of all of the breakthroughs in medicine, I was able to try a second treatment therapy and it immediately stopped the progression of the disease. Now, thankfully, I have the upper hand on MS and am doing well in college.

None of this would have been possible without the research that has resulted in 13 available therapies to combat this disease. Without these drugs, my life wouldn’t look the same. Without support from people and corporations like you - my life would be completely different. However, our work is not done until there is a cure. Please help the National MS Society achieve this monumental breakthrough and create a world free of multiple sclerosis.

Just last year, the Society provided more than $164 million to enhance the lives of those affected by MS. In addition, the Society is funding more than 380 research projects in over 20 countries in hopes to find a cure for MS.

I am pleased to announce that San Diego’s premier charity event, the 31st Annual MS Dinner Auction, will be returning to Loews Coronado Bay Resort on November 18, 2017. Last year the 2016 MS Dinner Auction attracted over 650 influential Southern Californians and raised over $470,000 to support the Society’s vision to create a world free of MS.

I invite you to be a part the MS Movement by donating an auction item for this charity event to raise funds for the mission. Won’t you please lend your support by contributing a package, gift certificate, experience or service?

Provide positive exposure for your company, while helping support the next great MS breakthrough (see enclosed form for more information or visit MSDinnerAuction.com).

Sincerely, Name MS Dinner Auction Committee Member
