(Enter 3 or 4 children who introduce the play then exit) Narrators: Ladies and gentlemen, we present “Santa´s visit”. Scene 1 in a house. (Enter children) Child 1, 2, 3: I am happy. Child 4, 5: I am very happy Child 1,2,3,4,5: Tomorrow is Christmas. Let´s sing a song (Sing a Christmas song they know) Child 1: Look, I can see a Christmas tree. Child 2: Look! I can see tinsel. Child 3: Look, I can see baubles. Child 4: Look! I can see Christmas cards. Child 5: Look! I can see a Christmas stocking. Child 1, 2: I am going to get a lot of presents. Child 3,4,5: What! No, no, no, no! I am going to get a lot of presents. Child 1,2: What! No, no, no, no! I am going to get a lot of presents. Child 3,4,5: No, no, no, no! I am going to get a lot of presents. Child 1,2: Only good children get presents. Child 3,4,5: I am good. Child 1,2: No, no, no. You are bad! I am good. Child 3,4,5: No, no, no. You are bad! I am good. Child 1,2: No, no, no. You are bad! (The children jump into bed and go to sleep. They can just lie on the stage in the corner. Enter elves singing a song (Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer etc). (Enter Santa) Santa: Shh! The boys and girls are sleeping. Have you got the Christmas presents?

Elves: Yes, Santa. Santa: Put the Christmas presents under the tree. Elf 1: Atchoo! Child 1,2,3: What was that? Child 4,5: Nothing, go to sleep. Elf 2: Atchoo! Child 4,5: What was that? Child 1,2,3: Nothing, go to sleep. Elf 3: Atchoo! Children: What was that? (they stand up and see Santa). It´s Santa! Santa: Hello, boys and girls. Children: Hello Santa. (Santa and the elves interview the boys and girls one by one. For example: Santa: Hello, what´s your name? Emily: My name is Emily. Elf 1: How old are you? Emily: I am 8. Elf 2: What is your favourite colour? Emily: My favourite colour is red. Elf 3: Are you happy?

(Repeat with other children) (Enter Mum and dad) Mum, Dad: What is going on? Children: Oh no! Mum, Dad: It´s Santa! (Santa now interview Mum and dad. They are very nervous.) Santa: Check the list! Elves: They are good! Mum, Dad, children: Hooray! Hooray. Santa: Merry Christmas everyone. Mum, Dad, children: Merry Christmas Santa!
