Job Purpose To process customer data in relation to the National Careers Service In Custody provision and provide team-wide administrative support to the In Custody Team.

Job Description

 Inputting National Careers Service In Custody information into a computer database and maintaining records and office systems as required and effectively resolving any associated record queries.  Support the NCS MI Manager is producing contractual summary information.  Undertaking a range of administrative and clerical tasks to support and ensure the effective operation of the NCSIC Lead and team.  Typing/ word processing reports, general correspondence often of a confidential nature, using Word for windows.  Produce and distribute basic articles, newsletters, marketing materials etc. based on NCSIC activities.  Support NCSIC Lead in quality assurance related activities.  Attendance at and organising special events supporting senior staff and ensuring the success of these activities.  Maintaining computerised accounting systems and other records and inputting information as required in relation to the NCSIC activities, this may include placing orders, arranging for the payment of sub-contractors and recording these transactions.  Ensure adherence to the company’s equalities and diversity policy.  Other duties commensurate with the level and nature of the post.

Personal Specification

 Able to meet deadlines  Good organisation ability and the ability to work independently and under pressure.  Data entry experience preferable.  Basic knowledge of MS Excel  Good typing/ word processing speed; flexibility and adaptability; knowledge of office systems and procedures; ability to work in a busy environment and good communication skills.  Knowledge of the prison service or similar organisation, and its systems would be an advantage.  Able to work flexible hours as and when required.  An understanding of and commitment to promoting equality and diversity.
