STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTIONS Timeline and Expectations

Wed., Apr. 10th: Candidates meet with Sponsors in room 207 after school. Thurs., Apr. 11th-Fri., Apr. 12th: Candidate interviews with Student Council executive committee Your name will not appear on the ballot if you are not interviewed by the executive committee. Thurs., Apr. 11th: Candidate packets, including teacher evaluations due by 4:00 pm to Miss Browning or Mrs. Zuehlke (room 207, or 327); begin campaigning Your name will not appear on the ballot if you do not turn in your candidate packet. Thurs. Apr. 11th – Wed. Apr. 17th: Campaigning - Hang campaign posters (no larger than poster board), hand out campaign material, etc. No candy can be given out to students. Tues., Apr. 16th: Video speech due to sponsors Wed. Apr. 17th: 60 Second CANDIDATE VIDEO SPEECHES during lunch time. Thurs. Apr. 18th: Elections held during all lunches. Fri., Apr. 19th: Election results announced

EXPECTATIONS:  You must state the office for which you are running on all campaign material.  Posters and any other campaign materials must be approved by StuCo advisors-limit 4!  No litter-creating campaign materials will be approved. (Buttons & stickers are good ideas).  Campaigning may not interfere with class time.  All campaign materials must adhere to the campus dress code (and all school rules).  You may only promote yourself in your campaign materials. Use only your name.  Positive campaigning only!  Consequence for not following expectations—DISQUALIFICATION from elections.
