1) Employee works Monday through Friday, holiday falls on a regularly scheduled day of work, employee excused

Compensation: 8 hrs in regular pay warrant

2) Employee works Monday through Friday, holiday falls on a regularly scheduled day of work, employee required to work

Compensation: 8 hrs in regular pay warrant 4 hrs holiday pay (straight rate) in a supplemental warrant 8 hrs holiday credit posted to the employee’s leave balances (based on PAL entries)

3) Employee works Tuesday through Saturday, holiday falls on regularly scheduled day off, employee excused from work

Compensation: 8 hrs holiday credit posted to the employee’s leave balances (based on PAL entries)

4) Employee works Tuesday through Saturday, holiday falls on a regularly scheduled day off, employee required to work

Compensation: 10 hrs in regular pay warrant

2) Employee works Monday through Thursday, holiday falls on a regularly scheduled day of work, employee required to work

Compensation: 10 hrs in regular pay warrant 5 hrs holiday pay (straight rate) in a supplemental warrant 8 hrs holiday credit posted to the employee’s leave balances (based on PAL entries)

3) Employee works Tuesday through Friday, holiday falls on regularly scheduled day off, employee excused from work

Compensation: 8 hrs holiday credit posted to the employee’s leave balances (based on PAL entries)

4) Employee works Tuesday through Friday, holiday falls on a regularly scheduled day off, employee required to work

Compensation: 10 hrs holiday pay (time and one half) in supplemental warrant 8 hrs holiday credit posted to the employee’s leave balances (based on PAL entries)

2 HOLIDAY and OVERTIME COMBINATIONS – BARGAINING UNITS 12 AND 13

1) Employee works Monday through Friday, holiday falls on a regularly scheduled day of work, employee is excused from work and works additional hours during the week.

Compensation: 8 hrs in regular pay warrant 8 hrs overtime at 1 ½ (time and one half) in a supplemental warrant*

2) Employee works Sunday through Thursday, holiday falls on a regularly scheduled day of work, employee is required to work and works additional hours during the work week.

Compensation: 8 hrs in regular pay warrant 4 hrs holiday pay (straight rate) in a supplemental warrant 8 hrs holiday credit posted to the employee’s leave balances (based on PAL entries) 8 hrs overtime at 1 ½ (time and one half) in a supplemental warrant *

3) Employee works Tuesday through Saturday, holiday falls on a regularly scheduled day off, employee is excused from work and works additional hours during the work week.

Compensation: 8 hrs holiday credit posted to the employee’s leave balances (based on PAL entries) 6 hrs overtime at 1 ½ (time and one half) in a supplemental warrant*

3 4) Employee works a 4/10/40 schedule, Tuesday through Friday; holiday falls on regularly scheduled day off, the employee is excused from work; in addition, the employee works additional hours during the work week.

Compensation: 8 hrs holiday credit posted to the employee’s leave balances (based on PAL entries) 8 hrs overtime at 1 ½ (time and one half) in a supplemental warrant*

5) Employee works Tuesday through Saturday, holiday falls on a regularly scheduled day off, the employee is required to work; in addition, the employee works additional hours during the work week.

Compensation: 8 hrs holiday pay at 1 ½ (time and one half) in a supplemental warrant 8 hrs holiday credit posted to the employee’s leave balances (based on PAL entries) 8 hrs overtime at 1 ½ (time and one half) in a supplemental warrant*

6) Employee works a 4/10/40 schedule, Tuesday through Friday, holiday falls on a regularly scheduled day off, the employee is required to work, in addition, and the employee works additional hours during the work week.

Compensation: 8 hrs holiday pay at 1 ½ (time and one half) in a supplemental warrant 8 hrs holiday credit posted to the employee’s leave balances (based on PAL entries) 8 hrs overtime at 1 ½ (time and one half) in a supplemental warrant*

* Employees may request compensating time instead of overtime pay by using the CTO6 or CTO7 expenditure types in lieu of the OT expenditure types.
