Wiener Wege zur Inklusion - Video

Petra Plicka: Today experts on their own account had the opportunity to give feedback regarding the developed ideas and solutions that were developed within the Project “Wiener Wege zur Inklusion”.

Thomas Klein: Today was primarily about introducing these ideas, which were created in a rough draft, and to acquire feedback. The working groups who developed these ideas are collecting a lot today, they are learning a lot so that they’ll be able to refine their ideas.

Elfriede Brunnhofer: The most astounding realization was the selection of topics or rather that topics were given priority that we weren’t expecting in this form. For me an example is violence, which after all is a very big issue in day care centers/facilities.

Iris Kopera: My working group was against violence and how to prevent structural violence. Then we were thinking about different things. In the end the idea for a diverse inclusion team that will be working against violence was formed.

Martin Habacher: What was your working group’s topic?

Sonja Adamelis: Housing

Martin Habacher: You mean shared housing.

Martin Habacher: Why was exactly this working group so important to you?

Sonja Adamelis: Always – Not – Home – Parents

Martin Habacher: You don’t want to always live at your parents’ home. That’s why it was important to you to be part of this working group.

Sonja Adamelis: Forever.

Martin Habacher: Not Forever. Yes, I understand completely.

Susanne Gabrle: In my opinion the amount of dedication and creativity within the working groups was tangible and the usage of all kinds of materials was well-prepared so that here and today it was possible to make the topic and the ideas accessible for people with varying disabilities. Within the working group were I was sitting in on it was noticeable that for people who have been in use of social services for a long time already that to them the concept was partly so innovative that sometimes they couldn’t imagine for their situation to be different because they were always thinking about the circumstances they are in right now. Oswald Föllerer: I’m part of the core team and I’ve been with the Wonderwerk Project from the beginning. For me it was very exciting when we picked the topics and the activity within the working groups. Today feedback was given. I’m already curious for the next round of feedback because there a different group of people will participate again.

Thomas Klein: The next steps in the project are that the working groups will incorporate the collected feedback into their ideas. Next there will be a similar event like todays’ at the end of March. Afterwards the actual/right ideas will be finalized and presented to the projects core team.

Petra Plicka: From that point on the FSW (Vienna Social Fund) can decide and at the final event of the project in summer will be presenting the results and probably already solutions and maybe even first steps for implementation.
