This full-time position is with the Information Technology group in Huntsville, AL supporting internal operations for the Wyle CAS Group. The successful candidate will be part of the IT group responsible for handling, diagnosing, and troubleshooting of complex to simple network processes and systems.

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for systems engineering functions, including designing, installing, maintaining, upgrading, and securing all systems. Additionally, the Systems Engineer is responsible for working with multiple business groups to develop solutions to support business and operational requirements. Other essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

•Provide network maintenance, troubleshoot network problems, and implement solutions, working with vendors as required.

•Engineer solutions for new systems and enhancements to existing systems utilizing industry best practices and standards

•Develop and analyze complex system standards, thresholds, and make recommendations to maximize system performance.

A bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred. A minimum of three years of systems administration experience in a network/infrastructure environment is required. Candidate should possess a strong understanding of products and technologies associated with providing secure and cost-effective IT infrastructure services. Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory required. Strong understanding of integration and configuration of multiple technologies (network, security, telecom) along with multi-vendor architecture and collaboration (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, Juniper) preferred. Previous design implementation and engineering operations experience required.

Candidate must be eligible for a security clearance which requires US citizenship.

Experience with Microsoft Exchange, VMware, Dell/EMC Storage Area Networks (SAN), Microsoft SQL, and SharePoint 2007/2010 desired. MCITP or MCSE certification desired. Programmer CAS-AL-HU-12:308

The candidate will provide programming support and system administration for the End-to-End (E2E) aircraft/missile engagement simulation. Duties include programming and testing of modifications in C, C++, and FORTRAN using the Concurrent Versioning System (CVS) for code maintenance and update. Other duties will include system administration for Red Hat Linux workstations and Rocks cluster computers. Additional consideration given for candidates with experience in Ada, GUI development, and experience with scripting languages such as GNU, AWK, Perl, or Java. 3-6 years experience in programming and system administration of Linux or Unix workstations required. Must have strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills and be capable of working as a member of a team. Must also have excellent written and verbal skills. BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics required. Travel up to 15% required. Candidate must be eligible for a SECRET security clearance which requires US citizenship.

Maintenance and Diagnostic Team Member will be providing system level support in the assessment of BIT/BITE, Diagnostics, prognostics and design for testability for upgrades and modifications to the PATRIOT Weapon System. The candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of the PATRIOT MEIs and provide maintenance and technical support through on site data collection and analysis. Additional duties will include evaluations of test plans, test procedures, software investigation request, test incident report analysis and report the results to the US Army personnel through formal and informal presentations. The candidate will work directly with the government personnel responsible for Maintenance and Diagnostics insuring contract deliverables are met. Must have a minimum of 14 years in military system level troubleshooting maintenance/diagnostic software analysis or a BS degree in Engineering, Business, or Operations Research with 10 years experience. Army/Navy/Air Force Intermediate Level electronics schools may be considered if the applicant has not obtained an engineering or science degree. Must have Bit/BITE, software requirements analysis/verification & Test skills. In-depth knowledge of PATRIOT maintenance acceptance testing a plus. Must be able to travel 10%-20%.
