As you watch the film, think about the following questions. You will have time after the film to reflect on them a bit more before we discuss.

1. The narrator mentions that when she was a young girl, she felt secure in her place in the world, but as she got older, that changed. Can you relate?

2. Boys: It’s mentioned in the film that young men judge women more harshly because of the images they are bombarded with by the media. Is this true for you? If so, in what way? If not, why do you think that is?

3. It’s mentioned that advertising is based on making people feel anxious and insecure; that women are not pretty enough, that men are not powerful enough, etc. Can you think of any examples of this?

4. Think back to your introduction to Devanshi Patel, the teenage girl who ran for several offices. What was your first impression of her? Did you judge her the way the film claims many of us judge women in power? Explain your answer. If you did judge her, do you think your impressions would have been the same if she was a teenage boy?
