1) Describe how the Ethnomethodologists account for the stability of society if social rules are so easily broken. Then explain the evidence that lead them to this conclusion. Finally, link the use of response cries to the understandings the Ethnomethodologists reached about breaches in the social order.

2) First, assume time travel and universal translators are possible. Using a general Symbolic Interactionist perspective, explain how someone from the 1700s would eventually come to understand what a cell phone is.
