The course is intended for health professionals who wish to advance their knowledge and understanding of Joint Hypermobility Syndrome/Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome – Hypermobility Type.

Course Aims The course will provide participants with the opportunity to discuss and reflect upon their clinical practice and apply evidence based approaches to the assessment and management of Hypermobility Syndrome/ Ehlers Danlos Syndrome-Hypermobility Type (EDS- HT). The course will cover the spectrum of those affected, from children to adults, athletes to the complex and vulnerable.

Learning outcomes By the end of the course, participants should: 1. Have an understanding of the pathophysiology and clinical presentation of children and adult with Hypermobility Syndrome/ EDS-HT and associated co morbidities

2. Apply advanced clinical reasoning skills in the assessment and management of Hypermobility Syndrome in the context of the evolving evidence base and contemporary theory

3. Be able to justify and apply client-centred strategies and techniques to motivate and facilitate behaviour change in patients with Hypermobility Syndrome/ EDS-HT

4. Be able to select suitable outcome measures aligned to the International Classification of Functioning Framework.

Course suitable for physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists, dieticians and psychologists

CPD certificate of Attendance Awarded – 6.25 hrs.
