The Tulip Fun-Run - 23 April 2017

ENTRIES: all entrants, including those in fancy dress and walkers must complete an entry form in full, make the appropriate payment and tick the disclaimer statements (see over). Entries may be made in paper form only. Entry forms are available from www.parkinsonscambridge.org.uk; or from Charles Nightingale, 12 Aylesford Way, Stapleford, Cambridge CB22 5DP; or by calling 01223 844763. RETURNING YOUR FORM - CLOSING DATE: please send completed forms as soon as possible to: 12 Aylesford Way, Stapleford, Cambridge CB22 5DP, enclosing a cheque or postal order payable to ‘Parkinson’s UK Cambridge Branch’ for the entry fees and T-shirt if ordered. Indicate on the entry form, if you have paid by BACS. Electronic BACS payments can be made to Parkinson’s UK Cambridge Branch: NatWest sort code: 60-13-08 account number: 41093038. Please note your name and add TR when paying by BACS. Entries must be received no later than 17th April to ensure your entry pack (containing instructions, sponsorship forms and vest number) reaches you before the event. Pick up your T-shirt on the day. No stamped addressed envelope is required.

SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION: the Parkinson’s sponsorship form has spaces for 30 sponsors. Further copies of sponsorship forms are available on the website. Please ask friends and family to sponsor you and, if appropriate, to complete the Gift Aid section, as this money will add significantly to the amount donated to the charity. Sponsorship cash and cheques made payable to “Parkinson’s UK Cambridge Branch”, can be brought with you on 23rd April or posted to C Nightingale (address above) to arrive no later than 29th June 2017. Alternatively you may wish to use an electronic giving/fundraising website. Details are on the Parkinson’s UK website: https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/content/top-tips-fundraising. Parkinson UK currently list: JustGiving and Virgin Money Giving. You will need to indicate on your fundraising page that this is for the Tulip Fun-Run and money is being raised for Parkinson’s UK Cambridge Branch. Sponsors should ensure that they complete the Gift Aid section as appropriate. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: each entrant must wear their vest number for safety and administration reasons. Entrants are advised to prepare themselves by training beforehand and to seek medical advice if there are any doubts about fitness. CERTIFICATES: all who finish will receive a certificate and medal.

To mark Parkinson’s Awareness Week 2017, the Cambridge Branch of Parkinson’s UK is holding a Fun-Run of approximately 4 miles. All money raised will be used to support the work of the Branch

The David Rayner Building at Scotsdales Garden Centre Shelford

10.30am on Sunday 23rd April 2017 Sue Ellington, Chair of the South Cambs District Council, will start the race

(Entries may include fancy dress and walkers)

 On leaving Scotsdale’s Garden Centre, turn left on to the Cambridge Road;  At Granhams Road turn left for 300 yards and across the railway line;  Turn left on to the Addenbrooke’s cycleway;  At the end of the cycleway (before the overpass) turn right on to the footpath towards Addenbrooke’s Hospital;  At the end of the footpath will be a water station; turn left on to the far side of Dame Mary Archer Way;  At the roundabout at the end of Dame Mary Archer Way turn left, up and over the bridge on to Addenbrooke’s Road through Great Kneighton;  At the Shelford Road traffic lights turn left towards Scotsdale’s Garden Centre.
