West Greeley Conservation District Meeting Minutes

Call to order

Leone called to order the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the West Greeley Conservation District Board of Supervisors at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017. The meeting was held at the Houston Garden, 515 23rd Avenue, Greeley, CO 80631. The Coalbank Dam Inspection was conducted at the dam site.

 NRCS/Conservation Planning Tour at Houston Garden Recap

 Sealed Bids on Equipment for Sale:

o Giddings Rig: $1588.88 Cross Farms - Simpson moved to accept bid. Miller seconded. Motion carried.

o 8’ Disk: $800 Ron Cross – Offer declined – Schneider was instructed to contact bidder for a higher offer

o Fence Cleaner: $1000 Eichman – Simpson moved to approve. Miller seconded. Motion carried.

 Noah Miyoshi/Eagle Scout – Reported it took 227 man hours and has gotten him closer to his Eagle Scout Badge

 Houston Garden – Start looking into the possibility for a Pavilion over the patio and look for grant opportunities

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

 Greeley Chamber Ag Tour - $2500 Sponsorship and Host Breakfast at Houston Garden. Moved by Simpson. Seconded by Miller. Motion carried.  Camp Rocky – July 9 through 15 in Divide, CO  Chainsaw Mama - $4000 – Miller moved to go ahead with the project at $4000 and the funds will come from the annual Endowment fund. Simpson seconded. Motion carried. Project will begin around July 17, 2017.
