Avril Henry is a highly esteemed leader and personality in the HR industry with over 20 years experience.
She established a management consulting business - Avril Henry Pty Ltd - in 2003 which specialises in leadership, change management, talent management, diversity, recruitment and retention strategies.
Amongst many notable awards, in 2008 her business was one of the 5 finalists in the City of Sydney Business of the Year awards and in 2006 Avril was honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement in HR Award at the Australian Human Resources Awards.
She has authored and co-authored several books and has also been featured as one of Australia’s most inspiring female leaders in the book “Secrets Exposed of Inspiring Leaders”.
Over the last five years Avril has delivered over 550 Keynote Addresses to over 50,000 people in Australia, New Zealand and Asia to companies and industries as diverse as IBM, BHP, CEDA, Department of Defence, ATO, ABS, NSW Health, WA Police, ANZ, Westpac, UTS, CPA Australia, Telstra and countless more.

Personal achievements In 2007 Avril joined the board of Hands Across the Water Australia, a charity which raises money to build and operate self sustainable orphanages in Thailand for children who lost their parents in the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami. She is also proud of the fact that in 2007 she achieved a long held dream of successfully running the New York City Marathon.
