NOTICE OF SALE OF EXCESS LAND BY PUBLIC AUCTION

An auction for the sale of 6.873 acres of excess land located as part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 24, Township 17 North, Range 7 West of the Third Principal Meridian, Menard County, Illinois, will be held at the Illinois Department of Transportation District 6 Office Chastain Conference Room at 126 E Ash St. in Springfield, IL promptly at 10:00 A.M. on November 13th, 2017.

Minimum Bid: $31,600.00

The land listed above will be sold by auction to the highest bidder. Bids for an amount less than the minimum bid designated will not be accepted.

The highest bidder will be required to deposit $3,160.00 at time of auction in the form of a cashier’s check, certified check, or bank draft made payable to: Treasurer, State of Illinois. Personal checks or cash will not be accepted.

The State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252 and the Regulations of the Department of Commerce 15CFR (Part 8)) issue pursuant to such act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that the acceptance of any bid pursuant to this advertisement will be without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origin.

Neither Illinois Department of Transportation employees, nor family members living within the same household, may bid on property, either real or personal, offered by the State at public auction.
