New course proposal and approval form part 1 (NCP1)

For use in 2012-13 academic year onwards

This form should be completed and submitted to the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) for approval to proceed

The Proposal Development Team (PDT) should refer to the Quality Handbook for the procedures governing course approval and documentary requirements

The PDT are encouraged to consult with Centre for Learning Excellence staff at an early stage to ensure that the proposal is being developed in ways that are consistent with the University’s Education Strategy (CRe8), and that knowledge of good and effective educational practice is underpinning the design of the course

The PDT Chair is responsible for notifying the Quality Directorate of any subsequent amendments to the proposal, (for example changes to the proposal development team, date of first intake) and for amending all documentation accordingly
