PART 1 - GENERAL

0.1 SECTION INCLUDES Gliding, high-density storage carts for athletic equipment and apparel. Portable, high-density storage carts for athletic equipment and apparel. Mobile, high-density storage carts for athletic equipment and apparel. Specialty Carts: Convertible Cart/Table; Mobile Merchandising Cart. Accessories for Gliding, Portable and Mobile storage carts.

0.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE Source Limitations: Obtain storage specialties through one source from a single approved manufacturer.

0.5 COORDINATION Coordinate installation of storage specialties to ensure proper installation and operation of each component. [Coordinate clearances required for movement of gliding, portable and mobile units.]

0.6 WARRANTY Special Warranty: Manufacturer's written warranty indicating manufacturer’s intent to repair or replace storage specialties components that fail in materials or workmanship within [5] years from date of Substantial Completion. Failures are defined to include, but are not limited to, the following:

3.1 EXAMINATION A. Examine installation areas for storage specialties for compliance with requirements for installation tolerances, including required overhead clearances and floor levelness, and other existing conditions affecting installation and performance of storage specialties. B. Proceed with installation of storage specialties upon correction of unsatisfactory conditions.

3.2 INSTALLATION A. Gliding Storage Cart (X-Cart) Installation: Assemble units. Install and anchor unit tracks. [Fully grout recessed tracks – this work by OTHERS.] Comply with the following tolerances: 1. Install tracks on concrete, parallel and level within 3/32 inch (2.3 mm) for each 8’ length; 1/16 inch (1.5 mm) between adjacent tracks perpendicular to track direction; and 1/32 inch in 10 feet (0.8 mm in 3 m) of track length. 2. Set gliding storage carts in track and adjust to comply with storage cart manufacturer's written requirements. B. Portable Storage Cart (Team Cart) Installation: Assemble units. Set portable carts in indicated storage position or in track. C. Mobile Storage Cart (SPORT Cart) Installation: Assemble units. Set mobile carts in indicated storage position. 3.3 DEMONSTRATION A. Train Owner's personnel to adjust, operate, and maintain storage specialties. B. Turn over keys, tools, and operation and maintenance instructions to Owner. 3.4 SCHEDULE A.
