Read Me for Iveco Certification information

This CD (or sub-folder) contains the emissions control certification information for the 2007 model year and is current as of 4/18/2007. In this CD in the root directory you will find two folders, “Federal” and “California” which contain .pdf copies of the EPA and CARB certificates listed by federal family designations.

Also in the root directory are two files, the first file is this “READ ME” file which you are currently reading. The second file titled “guide to Iveco Certs” is a file that lists the EPA family names and CARB E.O. numbers. Engines listed with a commercial code are Iveco Motors free market offerings. Other engines listed are only offered in CNH products. You can use this file to determine your engine’s federal family designation. Tabs across the bottom of this .xls file allow you to select mechanical or electronic Iveco engines.

ADDED NOTES: ======One. Added comments from Mark Recchia at May 7, 2007 ------

I'd like to clarify a couple of things regarding the "Guide to Iveco Certs.xls" Excel file that's been added to the Powertech Engines website. That file is actually the original version, which tentatively listed the 2006 MY mechanical engines NEF45TM1 and NEF45TM2 engines as 6.7 liter I-6 (note the question marks around the commercial codes and next to the engine configurations and displacements and configurations). A subsequent version of that file (attached to this e-mail) was issued to correct those displacements and configurations to 4.5 liter I-4. [See v2 version].

Furthermore, the "SCAQMD Cert. Expiration Date" listed for each engine is the HYPOTHETICAL date on which its SCAQMD Certification for stand-by stationary applications would expire, were IVECO NA to obtain such certification (and website listing) for it. No SCAQMD certification has yet been obtained for any IVECO engine at this date.

We have posted this data to our web site with the usual comment that "... we accept NO responsibility for any errors ! "

This data is organized in a sub-folder inside our Iveco Emissions index at:

http://www.powertechengines.com/IvecoEmissions/

This emission data originally on the CD (and in this sub-folder) is organized by EPA engine family name, so there is also an Excel file with a cross reference to other applicable engine names within the sub-folder at:

We had already loaded many of the CARB E.O.'s into our main Iveco emission folder -- and we will continue to do this. Some of these are duplicative, but it may be easier to find the applicable CARB EO for a given model Iveco engine is this "open" folder, as we have (generally) added the YEAR as a PREFIX to the EO name, and a brief description of the engine model as a "SUFFIX."

However, please note that these suffixes are not always completely descriptive; some CARB EO's cover as many as ten or more models, so you may have to study several EO's to find the correct one for the engine you are looking for.

The Excel file also has "Engine Family Name" versus "Model numbers."

And, once you know the engine family name you can dive right into the "CD" folder, and pull it up the CARB E.O.or the EPA Certificate of Conformity by the engine family name.
