JOLLY RODGERS OUT OF SCHOOLS NEWSLETTER December 2017

December plans December we will be looking at ‘What do we celebrate’. All the children will get a chance to input their ideas during the month for art and craft ideas to outdoor activities. There will be planned activities during the weeks. This will include:  Christmas tree decorating  Decorating our outdoor area  Hot chocolate sticks  Look at project related clips on YouTube  Santa letter and toy lists  Various cooking activities to be completed. Plenty of activities to keep us going this month. We also have a special visitor in out of school during the month of December, CHIP the elf. Chip will be reporting back to Santa each night when the nursery closes to let him know what we have been getting up to.

The boys and girls also got a letter from Santa and the elf to explain what Chip does and the rules of not touching him when he is in our room. We would like all parents to chat to the children about Chip and why it is important they don’t touch our elf Chip (as he will lose his magic) all the children are very excited to see what Chip is going to get up to everyday. We will send pictures home each day through nursery pal so keep a look out!!

Boxes – please ensure you check your child’s box everyday so that anything they have in them will not get mislaid. Outdoor play- could all parents please send in a spare pair of clothes and shoes/wellington boots as children enjoy getting outside during the day to blow off some steam. We would like to do this wind, hail or shine this will encourage the children to explore more areas of the garden as the seasons change. Can we ask that you please be extra cautious when driving around the car park area and always be aware of adults and children. We are sure you can appreciate that there are a lot of children within the nursery being collected at different times and it can be busy. Please always be attentive of this. Can we please remind you not to block the area where nursery vehicles are parked . This MUST be kept clear at all times so the vehicles can get in and out and we can safely off load the children . Thank you.
