Mr. GEORGE ROBINSON, an account of whose descendants follows, was born in Attleborough, July 23, 1726. and was married to Abigail Everett [daughter of Richard and Mary Everett], of Attleborough, Nov. 24, 1748, by whom he had seven children: David, Elizabeth, George, Zilpha, Abigail, David, and one child who died in infancy, without name. Mrs. Abigail died May 15, 1762. Mr. George Robinson married his second wife in Attleborough, Miss Zipporah Allen, daughter of Benjamin and Mary Allen; she was born Dec. 27, 1749, by whom he had eleven children: Jesse, Betsey, Molly, Nathaniel, Nathan, Elihu, Mary, Nancy, Achsah, Amos, and William Everett. Mr. George Robinson experienced religion at about the age of 20, and embraced principles that governed his conduct in future life. He was an affectionate husband and parent; in the government of his family, he was excellent, and in society, respected. He was an officer in the revolutionary war, and took a deep interest in the welfare of his country; he never had any thing to do in the law; he had few or no enemies, and departed this life in peace, Aug. 19, 1812, at the place of his nativity, aged 86. Mrs. Zipporah, widow of Mr. George Robinson, left Attleborough soon after the decease of her husband, to reside with her children in the State of Maine; she was of an amiable disposition, affectionate to her family, "looking well to the ways of her household;" her children took great pleasure in providing for her happiness, and their kind and affectionate regards were duly appreciated by her. She died at Hallowell. March 15. 1825, aged 75. ( Genealogy and Family Register of George Robinson c. 1831 Glazier, Masters & Co.; reprint C.E. Goodspeed & Co., Boston, MA c. 1919 )
