The above offered detonation arresters will fully operate and function as designed to a 125% overpressure of the stated maximum pressure of 6.5 psig or 8.28 psig. Each detonation arrester will be subjected to a hydrostatic test of at least 350 psig and as a finished unit will be subjected to a final pneumatic test at 10 psig for leak detection.

2. The above offered detonation arresters are designed to handle elevated temperatures in order to serve as a heat transfer device, a function of their ability to arrest a flame front. Elevated temperatures (that over 180 F) are tested where the above units were subjected to a one (1) hour endurance burn of a gasoline vapor and air mixture at a concentration of 1.90 +/- 0.05.

3. The above detonation arresters are designed to handle reflective pressure and unstable detonation flame fronts as a result of elbows, valves or other piping obstructions closely located to the arresters outlet.
