While we await the official links to All Smiles, Download his last album. Album: ASAP Rocky – All Smiles. ALL $MILES is Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky’s fourth studio album and his first full length release since his May 2018 album Testing. There is currently very little information available about this project other than that it will be released through Atlantic Records. ASAP Rocky & Rihanna have been photographed together in Barbados and in the US multiple times in the last few months, giving enough signal to the fans that they are dating. But for the first time ever, one partner has confirmed their romantic relationship. In a new profile with GQ magazine, Rocky confirms that they are together. “The love of my life,” he calls her. “My lady.” The project was first teased back in 2018, where Rocky utilized the album’s title as captions for (now-deleted) Instagram posts. Hype continued to build as Juicy J confirmed that he worked on the project with Rocky in an interview where he discussed his production involvement: It’s always dope to work with A$AP Rocky. He’s super talented. We’ve got some more shit on the way, too. I just did a beat for his newest project. When asked how he feels about being in a relationship, the rapper says it’s a relief when you find your ultimate partner. “So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the One,” he said. He also reveals to the writer that the two did a massive tour trip on a bus and drove from L.A. to NYC, going south through Texas and stopping in Memphis and a half dozen other cities along the way where they bonded over fashion, music and more. Rocky also had a mobile setup in place for recording new tunes. He says he felt “emotionally discouraged” when his last album Testing did not do well commercially (it debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200) because he felt like listeners didn’t get it. But he says he will continue to experiment with new sounds. “It’s all about the evolution,” he says of his approach to his long-anticipated new album which is tentatively titled All Smiles. “If I’m still doing the same shit with the same sounds and the same bars and the same visuals from years ago, what’s the point? You got that catalog. You can go revisit that.” He says he does pay attention to the critics but they don’t dictate what he’s doing. “I don’t think that’s really my concern. I’d be confused, man. I just want to make some good music, that’s all. I want to feel great about doing it, and I want people to feel great about hearing it.” In addition, Rocky wore “smiley face” symbols on his clothing as a way to tease the projects release, although the title was unconfirmed until a Selfridges article revealed the name. This album serves as Rocky’s first release since his freedom from an unjust incarceration in Sweden. He was arrested for assault and received tremendous support from the hip-hop community, eventually leading to his release. The New York rapper added that he has two creative helps at the moment with his new music — first one is the former Smiths frontman Morrissey and the other being the one and only Rihanna. “I think it’s important to have somebody that you can bounce those creative juices and ideas off of,” he says of his lady. He says she has influenced his upcoming music for sure. “It’s just a different point of view.” Rocky also hints that his being in a relationship has defined the sound of the new material. He calls All Smiles a “ghetto love tale” and says that it’s “way more mature” compared with his previous two albums. All Smiles, he says, is about 90% done. Asap rocky testing album download mp3. • Talented ASAP Rocky Stuck in a Rut
"ALLA" Album Review: Talented ASAP Rocky Stuck In A Rut Author : gwgras Coming out of Harlem, New York is Asap Rocky. His road to hip hop stardom isn’t anything new: from a poor family, dealt drugs, saw death at an early age–began rapping–things happened. That’s not to belittle his journey – at all, but one wouldn’t get that “defeated while coming up” tone if they listened to Rocky’s music. Some would call him more of a modern-day hippie–much like Wiz Khalifa and others. He struck a $3 million dollar deal because of his mixtape success and has capitalized releasing hits like “F’n Problems” and “Wild For the Night” from his first album “Long. Live. ASAP.” His follow up album “ALLA (At Long Last ASAP)” comes with the pressure of capitalizing off his commercial success. The album starts off perfectly with “Holy Ghost.” In terms of delivery and tone, Rocky sounds more like T.I. than anything else, but delivers some insightful lines: “Satan giving out deals, finna own these rappers / the game is full of slaves and they mostly rappers / you sold your soul first, then your homies after / Let’s show these stupid field n*****s they can own they masters.” Rocky is a young business mind and finds it weird how some who have been in the game longer than him still get screwed over with music industry politics. The laid back “Excuse Me” shows Rocky delivering a laid back flow in which he rattles off a perfect rhyme scheme.

  • How Can Luxury Fashion Brands Use Hip Hop Artists to Mix and Master Their Influencer Marketing Campaigns?
28th of June, 2019 How can luxury fashion brands use hip hop artists to mix and master their influencer marketing campaigns? With the rise of hip hop’s popularity in pop culture and influencer marketing as a strategy adopted by companies, how can luxury fashion brands employ both to market their products? Student: Karl Huggenberger S1832832 Supervisor: Ruud Jacobs, PhD Program: Communication Science Abstract Influencer marketing is now an integral part of successful marketing campaigns, with companies across all markets adopting this strategy. Luxury fashion brands have been using various personalities to market their products for years, and are also aligning their strategy to current trends. The rise in popularity of hip hop personalities sees a growing trend of luxury brands working alongside them. Endorsements from these celebrities vary from being included in adverts by the brand, receiving products from the brand and putting them up on their social media account, and wearing them to public events. This research aims at clarifying which method appeals to the consumer the most and could possibly lead to an improvement of brand behaviour, recognition and intention among consumers. A sample of 107 respondents were subjected to a survey showcasing three posts of a single type of endorsement, traditional, active, or passive depending on the group they are in. Then the effect of these influencer marketing efforts on the respondents’ intentions concerning the brand in question was measured. Results showed that the difference in groups only had an effect on brand recognition, as participants were more familiar with the brands presented by traditional and passive endorsements.

A Sonic Fiction of Boring Dystopia. Macon Ashford Bannon Holt. CENTRE FOR CULTURAL STUDIES, GOLDSMITHS, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON. Submitted for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, in Cultural Studies. 2017 !1 Declaration. I declare the following thesis to be my own work. Where the works of others have been used they are cited and referenced in the bibliography. Any assistance from others has been listed in the acknowledgements. Candidate Name: Macon Holt, Student Number: 33254455. Date: 01/08/17 Candidate Signature: !2 Acknowledgements. This thesis has caused me to not make a great deal of sense for a great deal of time and getting through that would not have been possible without the help of many other people and institutions. I would like to thank my supervisors Dr. Mark Fisher and Dr. Anamik Saha, for their guidance and expertise and reminding me that what I had to hand-in had to be vaguely “Ph.D. shaped”. That said, their encouragement of me to explore the odd terrain that this thesis churned up was vital for me in completing it. I would also like to thank the Centre for Cultural Studies for providing a space in which what is “Ph.D. shaped” can be challenged and explored. In particular, I would like to thank the convener of the Ph.D. program, Dr. Luciana Parisi, whose course, “Critical Theory of Interactive Media”, has changed the way that I think about pretty much everything. To this day I’m not sure I have caught up to where it sent my thoughts. I would like to thank Ark Books of Copenhagen for giving me a welcoming place of camaraderie when writing alone in my own cave became an insurmountable task.

  • Considering the Worthy Sacrifice Hip Hop Artists May Need to Make to Reclaim the Heart of Hip Hop, Its People
It’s Not Me, It’s You: Considering the Worthy Sacrifice Hip Hop Artists May Need to Make to Reclaim the Heart of Hip Hop, its People by Sharieka Shontae Botex April, 2019 Director of Thesis: Dr. Wendy Sharer Major Department: English The origins of Hip Hop evidence that the art form was intended to provide more than music to listen to, but instead offer art that delivers messages on behalf of people who were not always listened to. My thesis offers an analysis of Jay-Z and J. Cole’s lyrical content and adds to an ongoing discussion of the potential Hip Hop artists have to be effective leaders for the Black community, whose lyrical content can be used to make positive change in society, and how this ability at times can be compromised by creating content that doesn’t evidence this potential or undermines it. Along with this, my work highlights how some of Jay-Z and J. Cole’s lyrical content exhibits their use of some rhetorical strategies and techniques used in social movements and their use of some African American rhetorical practices and strategies. In addition to this, I acknowledge and discuss points in scholarship that connect with my discussion of their lyrical content, or that aided me in proposing what they could consider for future lyrical content. I analyzed six Jay-Z songs and six J. Cole songs, including one song from their earliest released studio album and one from their most recently released studio album. I examined their lyrical content to document responses to the following questions: What issues and topics are discussed in the lyrics; Is money referenced? If so, how; Is there a message of uplift or unity?; What does the artist speak out against?; What lifestyles and habits are promoted?; What guidance is provided?; What problems are mentioned? and What solutions are offered? In my thesis, I explored Jay-Z and J.
