Topic Discussion Action/Follow-Up I. Welcome and Role Call Barbara Jacobs welcomed the participants. She did a roll call of the hospitals and organizations at today’s meeting. Various members announced their organization’s achievements and awards since the last meeting. Noventri co-sponsored the meeting today with Elsevier.

II. Business Meeting

Reports:

AONE Affiliation Barbara Jacobs stated that MONE is a fully designated non-profit organization. In 2015, insurance will be required for the Board of Directors so they will not be sued individually.

Membership Alison Burrows said we currently have 189 members. The meeting price for non-members will increase to $100.00 as of September 1st. Student rates will be raised to $30.00 per meeting. Member’s meeting cost will remain unchanged. MONE has returned to the rolling membership time period. Your membership is good for one year from the date of onset or the date of renewal.

Planning/ Programming The annual poster presentation was held. Posters were in the areas of quality, evidence based practice and research. The September meeting topic will be on “Changing Healthcare Delivery Models. Impact to Healthcare, Patient Care & Nursing.” The Board approved an association with MHEI to provide contact hours and high quality programs for the MONE Meetings. A survey evaluation will be sent by e:mail after the program followed by a contact hours certificate.

1 Topic Discussion Action/Follow-Up Nurse Manager Christine Bish announced the next consortium will be at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on April 25th. 82 managers have Consortium registered. A member from MONE needs to sign the contract from each organization in the consortium. The contract requires a VP of Nursing or Assistant VP of Nursing to speak at a consortium event. Each organization needs to host a consortium.

Barbara Jacobs reported that we are financially sound. MONE is still Treasurer’s Report working with the accountant on obtaining our Maryland tax exemption status.

Mary Anne Greene is the director for the Nurse Residency Program in Nurse Residency Maryland. MONE supports nurse leaders to support a standardized nurse residency program in Maryland. Data is needed for new Program graduates who maintain their jobs for the first year after their nurse residency program. MONE will be the lead organization for the Program.

The presenters from the poster awards spoke about their projects.
