How Are the 2017 Longhorn Expo Judges Chosen? the 2016 Longhorn Expo Participants Will

How are the 2017 Longhorn Expo judges chosen? The 2016 Longhorn Expo participants will receive a nomination letter requesting their top three judges’ choice for each division.

When will you receive a letter? The nomination letters will be sent out around the first of October.

What is the deadline to return the letters? The nomination letters will need to be returned back to the TLBAA office postmarked no later than December 1, 2016.

What methods are the nomination letters accepted? The nomination letters can be accepted by mail, e-mail or fax. (However, it MUST be on the official nomination letter.)

How are votes counted? Only one nomination letter per TLBAA or TLBT numbers. All nominations will be calculated on a spreadsheet.

What if we have a ranch or partnership number? Only one nomination letter will count per number.

I want to vote but did not participate in the 2016 Longhorn Expo? At this time, nominations are by invitation only. Please exhibit in the 2017 Longhorn Expo to be eligible to vote for the 2018 Longhorn Expo.

Who is eligible to be a Longhorn Expo judge? Anyone on the approved TLBAA certified judges list.

My nomination is not on the judges list? Individuals may be added to the list year round. They will need to fill out the appropriate forms with the TLBAA office.

Can we recommend the same judges as last year? Yes, however judges cannot judge the same division two years in a row.

Who were the judges from the 2016 Longhorn Expo? TLBT Youth Show – Stan Comer, Free Division – Ryan Cummings, Open Haltered – Greg Briney.

Are Trophy Steer Judges voted on? No, however the World Show Steering Committee welcomes any suggestions. Last year the Trophy Steer Show Judges were Denise Webster, Toby Johnson, and Kristin Jaworski.

Are Miniature Judges voted on? No, however the World Show Steering Committee welcomes any suggestions and will supply a volunteer breeder judge.
