Members of the public may address the Council on any item within the Council’s jurisdiction. A summary of Council rules concerning communications from the public is available from the ASCOA Secretary at the meetings. Persons addressing items included on the agenda will be heard at the time the item is considered. Persons requesting to address items or subjects which are not on this agenda will be heard under the agenda item “Communications from Members of the Public.” Assistance will be provided to those requiring accommodations for disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. COMMUNICATIONS FROM MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC

(Please line-up to speak when your name is called.) This portion of the agenda provides an opportunity for members of the public to address the Council on matters not included on this agenda. A maximum of 14 minutes (2 minutes per individual maximum) will be provided for speakers under this agenda item. Requests to speak which cannot be honored within the time limit will be scheduled for subsequent meetings in the order received. Under the Brown Act, Council members are not allowed to discuss and/or take formal action at today’s meeting on items brought before them under this item. Council members are only allowed to respond briefly. Written statements can be submitted to the ASCOA Secretary for inclusion in the minutes.

OLD BUSINESS

1. Food Vouchers Presenter: Senator, Raina Buckner

The Council shall receive an update on the strategies of distributing the month food vouchers.

2. Master Calendar Presenter: VP, Jeramy Rolley

The Council shall discuss, plan and vote on events for the remainder of the semester.

3. ASCOA Branding Presenter: VP, Jeramy Rolley

The Council shall discuss club branding strategies. NEW BUSINESS

4. Approval of Invoices Payments Presenter: President, Alaysia Williams

The Council shall discuss and vote on the approval of payment of Western Exterminator invoices for May-July 2013 in the amount of $1293, and payment of Ricoh for your copy contract for the period of 7/1/2013-6/30/2014 in the amount of $1142.

5. Veterans Luncheon Presenter: VP, Jeramy Rolley

The Council shall discuss and vote on the approval of the Veterans Luncheon.

6. UMOJA Conference T-shirts Presenter: Debbie Green

The Council shall discuss and vote on the approval of sponsoring funds for t- shirts not exceeding $400.00 for the UMOJA conference dated November 8 & 9.

7. Latinos Unidos Event Request Presenter: LUSC Club Representative

The Council shall discuss and vote on the upcoming Latino Unidos event.

8. Blood Drive Presenter: Evelyn

The Council shall discuss and vote on the approval of the Blood Drive event on campus.

9. West End Pumpkin Patch Event Presenter: President, Alaysia Williams

The Council shall discuss the Pumpkin Patch event and vote on participation. 10. ASCOA Senator Stipends Presenter: VP, Jeramy Rolley

The Council shall discuss and vote on the approval of ASCOA stipends.

11. Region III Meeting Appointments Presenter: VP, Jeramy Rolley

The President shall appoint a Senator to attend the Region III meetings.

12. Grievance Committee Appointments Presenter: President, Alaysia Williams

The President shall appoint someone to the Grievance committee meetings.
