Thanks for joining Paddling South / Loreto Kayak Tours on an adventure in Baja!

I would like to bring to your attention the updated policy notes for the companies. As of October 1st, 2011 we changed the deposit fee to $250 per person to confirm a trip date. For Group Trips with unconfirmed # of guests we may just require a general coverage $500 trip date confirmation while folks gather and confirm travel.

The cancellation policy which has been in effect as of October 2011 is : 1) If you need to cancel your trip 31 days or more before departure, the trip fee, less a $250 deposit may be refunded*. And, 2) We no longer offer the ability to switch to another trip date if you have a need to cancel your travel plans less than 31 days prior to your chosen tour departure. At that time, the total fee is non-refundable.

For many years we have offered trip cancellation insurance as part of our pre trip packet, so that you might sign up independently for the service offered by Allianz (previously Access America). Now, in October 2012 we can continue to offer the paper brochure for your convenience or, the option to click on the link below to easily access on-line the system and a very reasonable plan that best fits your travel needs. Notes : Paddling South / Loreto Kayak Tours over the years has occasionally needed to change a route or adhere to local weather warnings. If we need to make any adjustments we will try to continue to give our guests the best experience possible. If there is a need to delay a tour by one day we will either plan for a beach camp overnight, or cover the guest expense of an additional night in a hotel (double occupancy), meals, and any alternate activity that might be added. For any additional nights in town or meals at restaurants, we may not be responsible. In the 30 years of operation in Loreto we have not needed to spend extra nights in town more than once, but it is a possibility. Some causes for trip itinerary changes might be: • port captain weather warnings • travel delay of other guests • weather conditions In the very unlikely event that we would need to cancel a tour, you would receive a full refund. Paddling South / Loreto Kayak Tours cannot be responsible for refunds or trip cancellations caused by airline fault, travel warnings, or missed flights. To date there have been no warnings issued for unsafe travel in BCS. It is our good fortune to live in one of the safest states of Mexico, with all of our municipalities rated higher in safety than many US cities. Also, our airline services are adding more flights to Loreto. Please contact us if you need more information.
