1These data represent 118 unrelated white C282Y homozygous hemochromatosis probands (= 236 chromosomes) and 605 white persons (= 1,210 chromosomes) who underwent haplotype analysis for paternity testing. All subjects were residents of
Alabama. All haplotypes could be detected with DNA-based and serologic methods with the exception of haplotypes containing B*70 and B*72 that were not detected by serologic methods.
