Mifur Returns to a Five-Day Exhibition, Moving To

MIFUR RETURNS TO A FIVE-DAY EXHIBITION, MOVING TO MILAN’S FIERAMILANOCITY EXHIBITION CENTRE – PORTELLO AREA FROM 4 – 8 MARCH 2012

Continuing to run concurrently with the Micam and Mipel events, Mifur is adding an extra day to its exhibition schedule for the Autumn/Winter 2012/2013 fur and leather collections, returning to the city centre after three years at the Rho-Pero pavilions.

“We’re not going back on our word: a series of coincidences is behind our return to Milan. Firstly, there is a technical reason. The Fiera Milano organisation was unable to give us the Rho exhibition space on what are fundamental dates for us: we’re 100% convinced that we need to run concurrently with the Accessories Exhibitions. Secondly, we were given an opportunity by Fiera Milano, which supported our request for dates by offering us the FieramilanoCity exhibition space. This means we can satisfy a widespread consensus among our exhibitors. Although they’ve appreciated the Rho-Pero exhibition centre we’ve used for the past few years, exhibitors have always preferred a city-centre location due to the demands and particular characteristics of the buyers in their sector.”

“ These changes mean taking on a big challenge. And change is more complex given the unique market conditions we’ve seen in recent years. But we’re feeling positive and confident. Over the past two years MIFUR has started to grow again and create business at the highest levels... returning to Milan marks another stage of growth for us”- said the president of Mifur.

The exhibition will run for five days once again, as it used to do at Fieramilanocity. The five-day schedule has always found favour with Mifur exhibitors and buyers, who find it difficult to pack all their appointments into four days.

Norberto Albertalli remarked: “Returning to a five-day event also means that we can give buyers from the shoe and handbag sectors the chance to take part in the exhibition, despite our new location, on a day that doesn’t clash with their main area of interest. In recent years buyers from these segments have been able to get to know Mifur exhibitors, and they’ve become active visitors at our event.”

The 17th edition of Mifur will run from 4 to 8 March 2012 in pavilions 1-2-4 at Fieramilanocity.
