Re: Mobile TV/VCR Carts

There are six new Mobile TV/VCR Carts for you to use in your classroom. The TV’s can be connected directly to your computer without the use of a scan converter and has a very clear picture.

LOCATION OF EQUIPMENT (Subject to Change) English Department – Media Center Fine Arts/Music Department – Media Center Social Studies Department – Social Studies Planning Room Learning Resource Center – Reddinger’s Office Math Department – Math Planning Room Science Department – Science Planning Room

EQUIPMENT Zenith TV – 27” TV with a VGA input so that it can be connected directly to your VGA output on your computer. You must set your display to 800 x 600 (60 Hz). VGA cable is connected to the back of the TV monitor but it could be plugged in to the front on the TV. Sony VCR – Connected to TV through the Antenna/Cable input on the back of the computer. Sony DVD – There is one Sony DVD player for you to check out from the media center.

SIGN OUT SHEETS Sign out sheet will be placed in each location. You must sign out the equipment so that others will know who has the equipment. Return the equipment its location when you are finished with it. Make sure that the remote controls for each piece of equipment is placed on the cart.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Instructions for using the equipment are as follows: Playing Videos – Use the Zenith remote control to set the TV/VCR Source to “Antenna/Cable”. Then make sure that channel 3 is selected on the TV Displaying your Computer Monitor on TV – LAPTOP USER – Connect the VGA Cable from the read of the TV to the “Blue” VGA output on the back of your monitor. DESKTOP USERS – Unplug your monitor from the back of your computer and then plug the end of the TV VGA cable into the back of your computer. The end of the TV VGA cable has a place for you to plug in your monitor cable and plug the end into the computer. You must set your display to 800 x 600 (60 Hz). (Right mouse click on your desktop, select “Properties” and click on the Settings tab. Move the slider bar to 800 x 600. If you need help doing this, please ask for assistance Use the Zenith remote control to set the TV/VCR Source to “Rear Computer SVGA”. (If you moved the VGA cable to the front input, select “Front Computer SVGA.”) LAPTOP Users – You may need to “toggle” your video output from your laptop screen to the TV monitor. On most IBM Laptop computers, this is done by pressing the “Fn” key and “F7” key at the same time.

2 May 4, 2018 When you are finished using the TV with your computer, please make sure that the remote control and cable stays with the TV. DVD Player - Use the Zenith remote control to set the TV/VCR Source to “AUX VIDEO”. Use the DVD remote to control the DVD playback.
