WALTERS, GEORGETOWN COUNTY CENTRAL 13 TRAFFIC COURT MAGISTRATE, UPON THE OCCASION OF 14 HIS RETIREMENT AFTER TWELVE YEARS OF 15 OUTSTANDING SERVICE, AND TO WISH HIM CONTINUED 16 SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL HIS FUTURE 17 ENDEAVORS. 18 19 Whereas, it is altogether fitting and proper that the members of the 20 Senate of the State of South Carolina should pause in their 21 deliberations to express their gratitude to the Honorable Alan W. 22 Walters for his meaningful contributions and dedicated service to 23 the citizens of Georgetown County; and 24 25 Whereas, an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America and 26 Rotary Club, he has served as magistrate in Georgetown County 27 Central Traffic Court since 2002; and 28 29 Whereas, from 1985 to 2002, Alan Walters served in law 30 enforcement with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, 31 Georgetown Police Department, and Andrews Police Department; 32 and 33 34 Whereas, as a member of the National Judicial College, Judge 35 Walters taught courtroom safety; and 36 37 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are grateful 38 for the years of dedication and service that Alan W. Walters has 39 contributed to the judicial system in Georgetown County and wish 40 him many years of enjoyment in his wellearned retirement. Now, 41 therefore, 42

[1042] 2 1 Be it resolved by the Senate: 2 3 That the members of the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by 4 this resolution, recognize and commend the Honorable Alan W. 5 Walters, Georgetown County Central Traffic Court magistrate, 6 upon the occasion of his retirement after twelve years of 7 outstanding service, and wish him continued success and 8 happiness in all his future endeavors. 9 10 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to 11 the Honorable Alan W.
