The maximum field size will be 96 players.

TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS: This is just a summary of the applicable rules. Please acquaint yourself with all the rules and particularly all local rules

1) PLEASE NOTE: All players on entering are automatically governed by the SAJGF National Code of Conduct copies of which are available on request. 2) RULES: a) Tournament will be played under the Rules of Golf as approved by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews. As well as Tournament Rules of the South African Junior Golf Foundation and any local rules in place at Kingswood Golf Estate. b) The Tournament Committee is the sole arbiter on the interpretation and application of the Rules and the decision(s) of the Committee will be final. c) The Tournament Committee will consist of; The Tournament Director Errol Taylor, Host President Mr Louis Meltz, Club Captain or Greenkeeper of Kingswood Golf Estate and the two Rules officials. 3) FORMAT: a) The format for the tournament will be Stroke play [medal] over 36 holes. 4) PRIZES: a) Players compete for places and prizes that will be stipulated as part of the tournament conditions. b) If there is a tie for the 36 hole gross score, a winner will be determined by a two hole play off by those players tied on the lowest gross score. The two holes will be determined by the tournament committee prior to the play off. If after the two hole play off any players are still tied, these players will continue to play the same holes but this time it will be a “sudden death” format. If for what ever reason a play off is unable to take place or be completed, to break the tie, then the winner will be determined from those still tied by their last 18 scores, then last 9 holes, then uneven holes of the last 9 holes then the even holes of the last 9 holes. Ties for any other prizes will be resolved by the same count out procedure described above (no play off will be used for these ties). 5) DRESS CODE: Players are required to Familiarise themselves and comply with the prescribed dress code of the Kingswood Golf Estate. The participants not complying will be prevented from participating.

6) AGE LIMIT: Participants shall be under the age of 18 years. Members of the Foundation who turn 18 during the current year shall be eligible to participate and be eligible for selection until 31 December of this year. 7) COMPETITION RULES: a) Start of play: Entrants must register at least 30 minutes before their tee-off time and report to the starter on the tee box at least 10 minutes before their tee off time. i) Late arrivals will be disqualified except if they can show reason under Rule 6.3 why the disqualification rule should be waived, ii) Tee-off times will be available from the SAJGF Web Site and all Divisional Presidents from12:00 on Mon 17 March 2008. iii) Note: It is the player’s responsibility to ascertain his tee-off time beforehand and to report on time. b) Slow play: Please take note that slow play will not be tolerated and will be dealt with in accordance to the rules of golf. c) Non-arrivals: Players who enter and do not turn up will be dealt with in accordance with the Rules of the SAJGF and their code of conduct d) Use of Club Carts: The use of motorised club carts by either a player or his caddy is not allowed. e) Caddies: There will be NO caddies allowed, Kingswood Golf Estate however, will make pull carts available, free of charge. f) Note: Parents to stay at least 30m away from Players and Please do not interfere with rulings, no advice to players allowed g) No steel spikes are allowed on the course; soft spikes only! 8) ENTRIES: a) Entries for tournaments are only accepted on receipt of an Entry Form, accompanied by the entry fee(s) or proof of payment. b) Late entries, shall only be accepted if there are vacancies in the field, or if the entrant is prepared to be placed on stand-by. 9) PRIZE GIVING: Attendance of Prize giving is compulsory. Jacket & Tie is to be worn, NO! golf playing attire to be worn at Prize giving. This forms part of the SAJGF Code of Conduct. ATTENTION: Have you taken notice of all the Conditions and Rules?
