SEPTEMBER MEETING PRESIDENT'S CORNER

The Bar-B-Que and Golf Tournament were a great success. Tuesday, September 18, 2001 (See photos on page 3.) Thanks to all of you who participated in this Luncheon Meeting at Patrick Henry Hotel year’s event. We raised a good sum of money for the scholarship 617 Jefferson Street fund and everyone had a great time. We had so many prizes that no Downtown Roanoke one, including the children, walked away empty-handed. After the initial test results returned in late April, Bedford County decided to close the school to facilitate additional Roanoke Chapter of ASHRAE testing. During May, IMEC Engineers tested every space in the school Web Page: for the presence of mold and airborne asbestos. A corrective action plan was developed to remediate contaminated materials and provide a new dehumidification and ventilation system. Todd Owen grew up in Lynchburg, VA graduating from Brookville High School. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1991 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After working as a building and network design professional in Richmond, Todd returned to Lynchburg in 1997 to join his family's environmental engineering firm, IMEC Engineers.
