Commissioning Documents
Q: When should I receive my commissioning documents: A: If you haven’t received your Officer Appointment Acceptance and Oath of Office (NAVPERS 1000/4) one month prior to your commissioning please contact PERS 8 at (901) 874-4374 or e-mail: [email protected]
Q: Where will my documents be mailed? A: Commissioning documents are mailed to your current command address.
Helpful Hints:
- Date your document for the 1st, the date can’t be earlier or later than your grade date.
The following statement will now appear in your orders:
- MEMBER DIRECTED: ENSURE THE ORIGINAL OFFICER APPOINTMENT AND OATH OF OFFICE NAVPERS 1000/4 REV (8/10) IS DELIVERED TO THE LDO/CWO COURSE SUPERVISOR, OFFICER TRAINING COMMAND NEWPORT RI.
Keep your original and take it with you to OIS if you don’t attend OIS send the original back to PERS 8. ------Sub Pay OPNAVINST 7220.15 Sub Pay Instruction
Q: What you need to do. A: Contact Mr. Ramage and he will verify your (Total Operational Submarine Service) TOSS and send a copy of your TOSS worksheet to you and the detailer’s office.
Q: When should I contact Mr. Ramage? A: At least two months prior to commissioning.
Q: When will my sub pay start? A: I can start your officer sub pay after PSD has completed your conversion from enlisted to officer. Sometimes this can take up to 2 to 4 weeks. Once your conversion is complete I will start your pay. I will also send you a message to your e-mail account detailing how long you are eligible to received sub pay.
