Lake Arrowhead Elementary School PTA Executive Board Meeting February 7, 2017

The meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m. Members present: Kari Cummings, Natasha Lewis, Dana Urquiza, Katrina Early, Caroline Romero, Trina Shea, Daine Poarch, Star Burguoyne, Sarah Pierson, Michelle Rundle, Kathy Cerwin, Lynne Lomenick

Secretary’s Report: Sarah Pierson The minutes from the January 9, 2017 meeting will be filed as read. Report from Chris Jennison – Status - bid needs to be updated, R. Domiguez needs to be approved as an approved vendor for the district, then plan put on School Board agenda for Board approval. Michelle will follow up with Mr. Dominguez. He is donating a large portion of the labor costs. PTA Board reviewed the plan and what we need to start with in the front.

Principal's Report: Laurel Fretz, Mrs. Fretz was not present

President’s Report: Lynne Lomenick  Calendar: Spring events – Movie Night, Tile painting night, Donuts w/Dad, Muffins w/Mom, Teacher Appreciation Week, need to calendar these events at next meeting.  Rainy Day drop off concerns – could kids come in at 7:55 to cafeteria, they are standing in the rain – discuss with Mrs. Fretz  Valentine Grams – orders in, will be delivered 2/14 to classes  Teacher surveys – received 8, Diane made copies, will discuss input at next meeting

Treasurer’s Report: Trina Shea Balance Forward $28,507.58 Total Deposits $3,330.05 Total Disbursements $7,774.96 Balance on Hand $24,062.67 Diane made a motion to ratify checks 3444-3451. MSC Committee Reports: a. Family Fun Night –- Movie Night, Tile Painting Night – Spring, Dana will check on glaze and more tiles b. Reflections/Yearbook– Buddy Pictures Mar. 2, Pictures from teachers-beginning of March. c. Assemblies- Kathy trying to get a Hoop It Up date d. Fundraising – Scrips – going well, passed the 6% so now we make our money back, order form on school web page e. Box tops – Caroline Romero – just sent 2 months worth in f. Hospitality – lunch went great with R. A. Spratt here, she was delightful, Mar. 16 – donuts & coffee for teachers g. Book Fair – slow Mon/Tues., will be open Thurs., Fri, & Tues. 14th The meeting was adjourned at 4:00. The next meeting will be Monday, March 6 at 3:00 in room A9.
