Board Accepts Settlement Agreements in 10 Cases
At its meeting on November 19, 2013 the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors accepted settlement agreements from Eugene A. Lamberson, P.E., AEZ Land Surveying. LLC, ATC Tower Services, Atwell, LLC, Kraft Electric Contracting, Inc., Pier Structural Engineering Corp., Semaan Engineering Solutions, LLC, Thomas Russell, LLC dba Thomas Russell Co., Unified Engineering Inc., and Worline & Associates, Inc.
Eugene A. Lamberson, PE, a resident of Monticello, IN, affixed his professional seal and signature to work product that was not prepared by him and without the permission from the authoring professional engineer. In order to avoid further action for violations of the Ohio Revised Code Mr. Lamberson entered into a settlement agreement wherein he agreed to comply with the laws and rules governing the practice of engineering, pay a $250.00 fine and receive a written reprimand.
AEZ Land Surveying, LLC of Cincinnati, OH, provided surveying services in Ohio at a time when the firm’s Certificate of Authorization was expired. In order to avoid further action for violations of the Ohio Revised Code AEZ Land Surveying, LLC entered into a settlement agreement wherein they agreed to comply with the laws and rules governing the practice of surveying, pay a $250.00 fine and receive a written reprimand.
ATC Tower Services of Irving, TX, provided engineering services in Ohio at a time when the firm’s Certificate of Authorization was expired. In order to avoid further action for violations of the Ohio Revised Code ATC Tower Services entered into a settlement agreement wherein they agreed to comply with the laws and rules governing the practice of engineering, pay a $3,500.00 fine and receive a written reprimand.
Atwell LLC of Southfield, MI provided engineering and surveying services in Ohio at a time when the firm’s Certificate of Authorization was expired. In order to avoid further action for violations of the Ohio Revised Code Atwell LLC entered into a settlement agreement wherein they agreed to comply with the laws and rules governing the practice of engineering and surveying, pay a $2,000.00 fine and receive a written reprimand.
Kraft Electric Contracting, Inc. of Cincinnati, OH, provided engineering services in Ohio at a time when the firm’s Certificate of Authorization was expired. In order to avoid further action for violations of the Ohio Revised Code Kraft Electric Contracting, Inc. entered into a settlement agreement wherein they agreed to comply with the laws and rules governing the practice of engineering, pay a $250.00 fine and receive a written reprimand.
Pier Structural Engineering Corp. of Waterloo, ON, provided engineering services in Ohio at a time when the firm’s Certificate of Authorization was expired. In order to avoid further action for violations of the Ohio Revised Code Pier Structural Engineering Corp. entered into a settlement agreement wherein they agreed to comply with the laws and rules governing the practice of engineering, pay a $3,500.00 fine and receive a written reprimand.
Semaan Engineering Solutions, LLC of Irving, TX, provided engineering services in Ohio at a time when the firm’s Certificate of Authorization was expired. In order to avoid further action for violations of the Ohio Revised Code Semaan Engineering Solutions, LLC entered into a settlement agreement wherein they agreed to comply with the laws and rules governing the practice of engineering, pay a $250.00 fine and receive a written reprimand.
Thomas Russell, LLC dba Thomas Russell Co. of Tulsa, OK, provided engineering services in Ohio at a time when the firm’s Certificate of Authorization was expired. In order to avoid further action for violations of the Ohio Revised Code Thomas Russell, LLC dba Thomas Russell Co. entered into a settlement agreement wherein they agreed to comply with the laws and rules governing the practice of engineering, pay a $250.00 fine and receive a written reprimand.
Unified Engineering, Inc. of Aurora, IL, provided engineering services in Ohio at a time when the firm did not possess a Certificate of Authorization. In order to avoid further action for violations of the Ohio Revised Code Unified Engineering, Inc. entered into a settlement agreement wherein they agreed to comply with the laws and rules governing the practice of engineering, pay a $250.00 fine and receive a written reprimand.
Worline & Associates, Inc. of Maumee, OH, provided surveying services in Ohio at a time when the firm did not possess a Certificate of Authorization to provide surveying services. Worline & Associates held a Certificate of Authorization for engineering services only. In order to avoid further action for violations of the Ohio Revised Code Worline & Associates, Inc. entered into a settlement agreement wherein they agreed to comply with the laws and rules governing the practice of engineering and surveying, pay a $1000.00 fine and receive a written reprimand.
ABOUT THE BOARD The Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors is the state agency that regulates and licenses the professions of engineering and surveying in Ohio. The Board has approximately 30,000 registered professional engineers and professional surveyors, 2,500 registered engineering and surveying firms and administers more than 2,500 licensing examinations yearly. The Board’s mission is to safeguard the health, safety, property and welfare of the citizens of Ohio by providing effective licensure and regulation of professional engineers, professional surveyors and engineering and surveying firms.
