To Create a Test From the Already Existing Testing Bank

#1. Open the internet using Mozilla/Firefox

#2 Log onto Limelight https://sso.learningstation.com/duval and put in your dcps user name and password.

#3 You will be on the test builder tab. On the right hand side of the screen under TASKS, click on Tests.

#4 Click on Create a New Test.

(There are three ways to search: by indicator, by passage, by bank.) I am going to search by indicator.

#5 From the standards tab, select the Next Generation Standards in your subject area and then select your grade level.

#6 The standards will appear. You can check mark the boxes of the standards you would like to search, or you can click on the + sign and the elements will appear so you can narrow your search. Click on show these questions.

#7 The question stems will appear, if you move your cursor over the numbers on the right hand side a preview button will appear. If you click preview, you will see the whole question with appear. To select that question to add to your test, click on the large +Add to Test icon. Once you select the item, the blue Blueprint box on the right hand side of your screen will begin showing the number of questions that you have selected.

#8 After you are done loading questions, hit Preview and Save under the blue Blueprint icon on the right hand side of your screen. Your test will appear and you can drag the questions into any order that you wish.

#9 Next, you have to Save the test. (Remember, this is like a digital filing cabinet. You need to know the name of the file drawer you put it in—maybe grade level and subject—and you need to know which hanging folder you place it in, then you have to name the exact file. If you stay organized from the beginning, it will be easier to retrieve the test later.) At the bottom, before you save, you will see a SHARING tab. You can keep this test private for only you, you can share the subscription so that anyone in our school can see it, or you can share it with the district. Then, click SAVE.

#10 The next screen will ask you how you want the test to print and will give you an answer key. Eventually, your students will also be able to take it on the computer.
