Look for the Weathervanes Throughout the Park! Wichita artist, Elizabeth Stevenson, has created a series of installations for 2009/2010 celebrating the fact “The Arts are Happening 365 Days a Year in Salina.” In an extension of her work, The Girl Who Lived in a Sign, Elizabeth has installed found-object “weathervanes” throughout the park. Each will point you toward one of Salina’s treasures: Salina Art Center—their Warehouse and Cinema, Salina Community

Theatre, Salina Symphony, Salina Smoky Hill Museum, Stiefel Theatre for the Performing Arts, and Rolling Hills Wildlife Museum. We invite you to explore each of these world class agencies and join us all year long as we celebrate the arts and culture in Salina. Please see inside back cover for agency websites and page 16 for Elizabeth’s project, Distance, Direction, Event.
